Find the Right Helper for Your Family
Every family is different. We take the time to understand your needs before recommending a helper.
Finding a helper shouldn’t be a guessing game.
Not the right fit
A helper’s experience and personality matter as much as their availability. Skip that, and mismatches follow.
Unclear pricing
Agency fees and additional charges are not always explained before a family commits to them.
Previous bad experiences
Families who have been through a difficult placement before want a different process, not just another agency.
We understand first. We recommend second.
DirectHired was created after seeing families go through agencies focused on filling a vacancy, not finding the right person. We built a different process: one that starts with understanding your family before any name is suggested.
Better Matching
We ask about your household, routines, and expectations first, and only then recommend helpers whose experience actually fits.
Transparent Pricing
Clear package pricing, itemised line by line, and a plain account of anything that sits outside the package.
Personalised Service
Human guidance throughout the process, from your first questions through to the placement itself.
A better match starts with understanding.
A placement typically follows four steps, built around your family rather than a shortlist.
-
Understand your household needs
We start with a conversation about your household, your routines, and the specific tasks, schedule and expectations a helper would take on.
-
Recommend suitable helpers
Based on that conversation, we recommend a small number of helpers whose experience fits what you described.
-
Interview & decide
You interview each candidate directly and decide who joins your household, with our team on hand to answer questions.
-
Support the placement
We stay involved after the placement starts, so early questions or adjustments do not fall through the cracks.
Transparent Pricing. No Guesswork.
Two ways to bring a helper into your home, with package costs set out upfront — and a plain account of what sits outside them.

The helper’s loan and placement fee sit outside these packages. You advance both at the start and recover them through the helper’s repayment, so they are ultimately the helper’s cost rather than an extra charge you carry — see how that works.

Helpers from trusted sources
We work with helpers from a number of sources, each matched to your family based on the requirements you share with us.
Wherever a helper comes from, the service is the same — the same fly-in package, the same matching process. The source is the only difference.

Questions families ask us
A few answers to begin with. See the full list for everything else.
How much does it cost to hire a helper?
Our fly-in package costs $1,640.10 with 1 replacement within 6 months, or $1,140.10 without replacement.
The helper’s loan and placement fee sit outside those totals. You advance both at the start and recover them through the helper’s repayment, so they are ultimately the helper’s cost rather than an extra charge you carry — our team will walk you through the exact figures for your specific requirements. See our Pricing page for the full breakdown.
What is the difference between a new helper and a transfer helper?
A new helper placement brings a helper into Singapore from overseas. A transfer helper is a domestic helper already working in Singapore who is moving to a new employer.
The difference describes the helper’s situation, not yours — a first-time employer can hire either. Both go through the same personalised matching process with our team.
Where do your helpers come from?
We currently work with helpers from Indonesia, Myanmar and Mizoram. The service is the same wherever a helper comes from — the same fly-in package, the same matching process. The source is the only difference. See our Helper Sources page.
How does the matching process work?
Matching is a personalised, human process. Our team will:
- Understand your household needs — your routines, and the tasks, schedule and expectations a helper would take on
- Recommend suitable candidates based on what you have described
- Support you through interviews so you and the helper can decide together
- Stay involved to support the placement afterward
We take the time to understand your needs and recommend accordingly.
How long does the process take?
Once you have confirmed your helper, it takes approximately 2 weeks for a helper coming to Singapore from overseas, and approximately 1 week for a transfer helper who is already here.
Those timings run from confirmation onward. How long it takes to reach that point depends on your requirements and on the interviews — we would rather find the right person than rush you to a decision.
How do I submit my requirements?
Use the “Submit Your Requirements” button available on every page to tell us about your family and what you’re looking for, or message us directly on WhatsApp using the WhatsApp button alongside it. A consultant reviews every submission and aims to respond within 1 business day.
